About

Crochete and recycling

Hoping that I am not the only one with these interests I want to talk to you about an  ingenious way that I managed to bring together two of my greatest passions : knitting and recycling.
I believe that the world is a place that becomes more  polluted with every day that passed and it's up to each of us to act in a way that can change it. The first step in my opinion is not throwing every thing we are bored with or we do not use anymore and to try to change it either giving it a new look or reinventing it.

This idea together with my attraction for crochet or kniting made me move towards a new passion. You will be amazed with what you can accomplish with a little bit of imagination and patience. And if you are part of those that are relaxed by making things out of passion this is even better. Here are some ideas that will help you get a better idea and after that is up to you to and your imagination!
Why not to try to make a new lamp ! If you are tired of the old one you have or you just want to give it more personality then maybe you should start working and give it a new coat. The color and pattern remain at your choice, and below you have a source of inspiration.

Another idea that you can use to change your house is for example by bringing new shine and color to your decoration objects. Why do you have to change all the furniture because you feel the need for something new when we can just add a bit of color on  something old like the vase from bellow. The vase from bellow is just an example , but you should not stop here because with the same technique you can give a new look to a mirror, a cutlery holder, or to the storage boxes you use every day.

The materials needed:
  • Bottle, vase or jar
  • Yarn (you can also use rope or twine depending on your preference)
  • Scissors
  • Paint Brush
  • Glue (any liquid glue or mod podge you have on hand)

... the final result will give you maximum satisfaction.
See you all next time!
